How to Get to Stará Lesná
By Train
Participants arriving by train can travel to:
- Poprad–Tatry – the nearest major railway station with connections from Bratislava, Košice, and several international routes.
- From Poprad, you can continue by:
- Tatra Electric Railway (TEŽ) to Stará Lesná (train station is aprox. 2 km from the venue).
- Bus service directly from Poprad to Stará Lesná.
- Taxi (approx. 20–25 minutes).
By Car
Stará Lesná is easily accessible by car:
- From Bratislava: follow the D1 highway to Poprad, then local roads to Stará Lesná.
- Ample parking is available near the Congress Centre of the Slovak Academy of Sciences.
- The village and Congress Centre are well signposted.
By Air
The closest airports are:
- Poprad–Tatry Airport (TAT) – approx. 20 minutes away.
- Košice International Airport (KSC) – about 1.5 hours by car or public transport.
- Bratislava Airport (BTS) – approx. 3.5 hours by car or train.
Each airport offers connections to Poprad via train, bus, shuttle, or rental car.
